Caramelized, Layered, Legendary

Kouign Amann, pronounced queen ah-mahn, this classic pastry from Brittany, France translates to “butter cake.” Made with layers of dough, butter, and sugar, it bakes into delicate flakes with a crisp, caramelized exterior and a tender, buttery center. Often called a croissant’s more indulgent cousin, it’s rich, golden, and worth every bite.   


At How We Roll, our Kouign Amann is hand-laminated in small batches and baked until beautifully bronzed, with crisp edges and soft, layered centers. It’s the pastry that made us fall in love with rolling dough — and it’s the one our market customers come back for week after week
